This side street parking spot by the Purdy Street pedestrian cross-walk, toward School Street, gave me a nicer vantage point and view of the public parking lot. Initially, I was going to sketch the stores along Purdy Street but the SUV parked in front of me pulled out just as I was about to start my sketch. This opened up a better and more complicated parking lot scene to sketch. Preliminary drawing lines done with a Sepia water soluble pencil. Painting with water color and white gouache added later at home.
