The Meadows at Rockefeller State Park Preserve

On my practice hike last weekend, I did a small sketch (3" x 1") in pencil using a Pentel 8 Multi pen.  Aside from the HB pencil lead, it also has 3 ballpoint tips (black, blue, red) and 4 other colored pencil leads (yellow, red, blue, green).  This trial run was what I imagine I would be doing when I start walking the last 100 km of Via de la Plata/Sanabres Camino route at the end of this month.  I picture myself having more sketching time since I will be traveling solo and not with a group.  Overall, I like how this one turned out.  I think this pen will be very useful in my sketch adventure.

The finished sketch.

I tried sketching some equestrian but they were too fast for me to capture.  I eventually erased that lone rider on top of this page.

  1. This pen seems perfect for what you need as an all-in-one for sketching instead of having to bring along a lot of supplies. This came out really nice.

    1. I think you're right about that. Imagine how simple it would be just to have one material to work with. BTW, Tina K made a post about this pen. I just saw it today but it was done a few years back.
