Via de la Plata - My second Camino: Day 2: Part I

I slept just enough overnight and woke up excited to start exploring the city.  First order of business was to find a cafe con leche.  A short walk at a cafe bar called Bar Sarri, I got my first sketch of the day which I later showed to the owner named Elvira.

Next to the Catedral de Ourense, the Sta. Eufemia la Real del Centro church was where I attended the Sunday morning mass.  After the service,  I completed a sketch of the beautiful altar.  A priest walked by me and noticed my sketch when I was taking a photo of it.  He stopped and asked if I wanted a sello (stamp) to which I nodded yes.   He took my sketchbook to the back office and came back with the stamp on it.

  1. Great sketches and I love the story of the priest seeing the sketch and having it stamped for you. Part of the fun of trips like this is meeting the locals, which you are so good at doing.
