In-Car sketching yesterday afternoon along US Route 1 North. An Italian restaurant, La Piccola Casa, facing the Harbor Island Park in Mamaroneck, NY. It's sign says "Fine Northern Italian Cuisine". A waiter stood at the entrance long enough to be added to the scene. Note his head outline. Actually, he wasn't looking over his right shoulder. It was a happy accident after filling in a patch of the brown colored wall panel.

This is really so well done, Mel! I like how you didn't let the color overpower the great sketch!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Joan! Happy how this one turned out. Initially had ink flow problems with my seldom used Pilot Custom Heritage 912 FA pen so I switched to G-Tec-C 0.25 pen which was much better. Also, tried using a heavier gauge 140lb Canson WC sheet instead of my usual EDC 60lb sketchbook paper from Muji.
