Saturday, July 10, 2021 was the first time in a long time (1.5 years) that the NYC Urban Sketchers met and sketched together in-person at the beautiful Central Park Conservatory Gardens. Everyone was excited and happy to finally be able to do away with the mask, to do fist bumps, rub elbows, shake hands, and even give hugs for some. The sense of belongingness, camaraderie, and friendship was just amazing. It was just wonderful to see all the happy faces and beautiful smiles. So instead of sketching the Burnett Memorial Fountain, I sketched these Urban Sketchers in front view.

Great sketch of everyone!!! It must have been very special and emotional to see everyone again. Wish I could have been there...working on getting strong enough to attempt the city.
