The Commuter Sketch Series

On my daily commute, there's the 52 minutes of sketching time to spare each way on the train.  Here are some commuter sketches I did last week.  Capturing people gestures in my sketch has become so much more interesting and fun.

    Were you able to add the color while riding? Glad you have more time than your 1/2 hour lunches. These are great! I especially like the texture of the hair on the second man down.

      Great question, Joan! Very unsteady hand while in transit so color is done at home. If I can get away without coloring, the better. The color makes it pop so I'm trying to incorporate it in my sketches now.
