Still Life Study

Here's another attempt at a still life watercolor painting.  I find it interesting to do another one like the basket of tomatoes I did several weeks ago.  This time its a mix of garden produce.  When it was time to color, it was hard to get a close coloring shade for the cloves of garlic and I found the many different shapes challenging.  Watercolor and white gouache.

  1. Nice job on this. I like the texture on the avocado and the papery look to the garlic. Hope you used the ingredients for something yummy!

  2. Thank you, Joan. Yes, very satisfied how that avocado texture came out. We made a salad out of the ripe tomato and avocado plus some salad greens.
